Devices unavailable to use for routine

Hi all.  am having trouble with routines.

I wanted to replicate what I used at my old place of living. I just moved. In my original personal routine, I had a Sonos beam that would wake me up with a morning playlist and I enjoyed it. I am now sharing a Google household with my boyfriend and we have his Sonos beam in our bedroom. However the Sonos beam never appears as an option for me to use. I tried switching it to household routine and same issue. On the Google home app we are both managers in the household. I am unsure what is preventing me from using his Sonos beam in my personal routine or the household routine. He is able to select it as an available device to use but when I go to adjust the wake up time it says on my Google home app that no media device is selected. Was hoping there’s a configuration of some sort I am missing otherwise.

In this specific situation, the best option is to remove the device from the home and then re-add it. Here is a link for you to follow the steps to complete the process. Connect third-party smart home devices in the Google Home app.

Thanks for your advice. We already tried that a few times and it didn’t change the outcome unfortunately. Even tried factory resetting it to start the set up process from scratch. Open to any other suggestions

Thank you for trying to correct the routine. I can appreciate how annoying it must be that there is still no solution. But don't worry, let's look into other possibilities.

• Factory reset the speaker or display.
• Find Routine started events. The entry should include the time the Routine ran, the name of the Routine, and what caused the Routine to start.
• Make sure the mobile device is connected to the same WiFi or linked to the same account as the speaker or display.
