Hi,
I set up a rather large routine (over 50 commands, most of them wait times between actions) and while I can save it once to load it, afterwards I cannot save changes (including disactivating it ore one at a time saves) without erasing everything in the routine one at a time and saving it empty. Are there limits to how many commands a routine can run on the home app?

Hey SarahMarie,
Thanks for reaching out. We'd love to help.
There's no limit on how many actions you can add to your routine; however, adding more commands can cause it to trigger the actions slower than normal. You may also have trouble accessing and making changes to the routine, and there's a high chance of the Google Home app freezing up and getting stuck. You can think of your routine as a browser and the actions as its tabs; the more tabs you open, the slower the browser can be until it no longer responds to you.
Hope this answers your question.
Best,
Lovely

Is this effect cululative across all my routines, or limited to one routine? Does the app lag more the more routines you have in total?

Hello SarahMarie,
I've tested this out and it seems like this effect is cumulative in all of your routines. The Google Home app lags more when the routine has many actions than when the app has more routines.
Let me know if there's anything else you need help with.
Thanks,
Lovely
