I'm in the process of replacing all of our older Nest thermostats with new Nest thermostats given Google announced they were discontinuing support of the 1st generation thermostats. We have several and I replaced/upgraded one a few weeks ago with no problem. Today I went to do another one but the Google Home App is so unstable that I can't set up a new thermostat. The app crashes over and over. Yes, my iOS is up to date. Yes, I deleted and re-installed the app (so it is up to date) but nothing seems to help. The app crashes at random time and reliably crashes every single time I try to install the new device. I have a stack of these thermostats still to install and there is no way to set them up other than the app and the app doesn't work. Any tips appreciated.
