Hi, I heard that to get the 10 day playback you will need to subscribe and also have the battery can wired. Is it the same if we use the cable it comes with to keep it connected 24/7 to make it wired so I can view back 10 days? Or do I have to order the weather proof one?

Yes, you're right! When you signed up for the new Nest Aware Plus plan, you can view 60 days of event recording plus 10 days of continuous 24/7 video recording when you set up your Nest Cam Indoor/Outdoor Battery as a wired one. You can check this article Install or mount Nest Cam (battery) which serves as your guide for installation. 

You may also need to purchase a separate power cord(weather proof) in order to set up your camera wired, you may check it here.
