Google Nest Hub Max video calling won’t work

Google, 

 

I am very frustrated with my Google Nest Hub Max. One of the main reasons I convinced my wife for us to switch to Google Home from Amazon Ring was my love for Google products, and the great reviews. However, ever since I set up Google home and Nest Hub Max up, I have not been able to make or receive video calls on it one time. I have been on the phone with Google support 3 times, who have helped me request “escalated support” but I have yet to have an escalated support agent reach back out to me. When I called today, the agent said my ticket is still active, even though I created it over two months ago and haven’t heard from anyone. 

Right now my Nest Hub Max feels like a $300 paper weight, because I can’t use it for the primary function I purchased it for. 

What can I do? I just want to be able to video call my kids at home, and have them be able to video call me.

It sounds like we're in the same boat! I got my device in August and Google Meet worked then. Now it doesn't work. I was send a replacement device, and the same problem is happening! I just want my money back, but that can't happen according to Google. My case has also been escalated.
