Google Nest not connecting to Wi-Fi

My Google Nest device suddenly stopped connecting to Wi-Fi. I’ve restarted both the router and the device, tried resetting the Nest, and even reinstalled the Google Home app, but it still won’t connect. Can someone help me fix this Wi-Fi connection issue?

Hello @Husnainacca,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community Forum. I’m sorry to hear that your Nest device suddenly stopped connecting to the WiFi network. I appreciate your effort and time that you have already spent troubleshooting previously. No worries; I’m here to help.

To provide you with accurate information, please help me answer the following questions:

  • What type of Google Nest device do you have?
  • Can your other devices find your Wi-Fi network name?
  • Do you see an error code or notification on the Google Home app regarding the trouble?
  • How far is the device from your Wi-Fi router?
  • Has there been any recent change in the home Wi-Fi network?

Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.

Best regards,

Daniel

Not OP, but similar issue.

  • Model: GXCA6
  • Yes other devices are connected to wifi and Home app.
  • There is no error code or notification on the Google Home app regarding the device?
  • The device and router have not relocated from their previously integrated positions which are approx 20' apart.
  • There have been no changes in the home Wi-Fi, however this issue presented when the ISP was down for 15 minutes yesterday. No other devices have struggled to connect and the router has been reset. The speaker has been unplugged and plugged in more than once 1min plus.

Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.
