Google home cannot reach phillips hue.
This started today, 2021.12.15 afernoon. Before noon it was woring fine.

Exactly same as sammywise wrote in here: https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Home-Automation-CHIP/Google-home-can-t-pair-the-Philips-Hue-B...

I unlinked the phillips hue account in the goggle home app and now I cannot relink it, it says the same in text: "Google home cannot reach phillips hue. Please try again"
The phillips hue app works fine.
I restarted my router and powered off and on the Hue bridge.

DId google home or phillips hue role out an app upgrade recently?

Any furter idea?
Edit: based on the play store last updtae info both apps were updated on nov 30 so thats not it.

The phillips hue account is: https://account.meethue.com/account
I wonder if the google home app redirects to the correct url. Any idea how to find where it wants to redirect? I only see a flach of a window that is closed imediately when trying to link phillips hue, so no information is readable there, and then it prints the "Google home cannot reach phillips hue. Please try again"

Update: Phillips confirmed there was an outage to the phillips account page yesterday which explains why the google could not reach it. But its back online and I also can reach and enter to my Phillips account, and also control everything from the phillips hue app. For some reason, the google home cannot still reach my phillips account when I try to relink it.

Then I tried to remove all permission on my philips hue account page and reinstalled google home app , deleted all cached data. Still cannot link my phillips hue account.

So I removed my smartthings accoutn as well, and guess what? I cannot relink that too, same error message.
This steers me into the direction that there might be some networking problems, maybe my router updated its software. Does anybody know what are the network requirements for google home to work? It is on the smae wifi network of course. Any ports that need to be forwarded?

I use cync by GE for lights, and for the past couple days I've been unable to link google home with that service either.  It finally started linking today but I'm still having trouble getting the lights to respond to the assistant, which keeps telling me "devices aren't available" and to try setting them up again

I still have no account linking. even though I factory reset my phiilips bridge and bulbs and the google nest and reinstalled all apps. I am out of ideas.

I don't think its you, your device, or your internet. I'm having the same issues.

Hey there,

Sorry to hear about the troubles you’re having with your lights connecting with the Google Home app, I’m sure it’s confusing, but I’m happy to provide some clarity.

I have sent this information over to our engineering team and they ask that you provide them feedback through the Google Home app to them. They suggest including the keywords, "#Lights" along with the name brand of the lights and a short description of what you're encountering.

Happy Holidays,

Garrett DS
