Google home hub max keeps loosing connection with the internet

JenM3

I am in need of some help. My nest home hub max keeps disconnecting to the internet. I have tried all the different steps in the threads that I have come across on here and nothing is working.  We also have a ton of speakers, another home hub and all of those are working just fine. Can someone please help me.

Thank you!

@JenM3

Since the most likely cause is a Wi-Fi issue, have you tried temporarily relocating your Nest Hub Max somewhere else in the house or trading locations with a device that IS working, just to determine whether it's a Wi-Fi signal strength issue in its current location?

I have tried those steps and even have an extender for my wifi in the next room.  Pretty much everything inside and outside my house is on the same wifi.  I was supposed to have had someone email me from nest on how to reset my unit.  I have not gotten that email as of yet.  I really just want this thing to work.  There are lots of discussions of people having the same issue.

Hey JenM3,

Understood. To eliminate network issues, try setting up your device using a mobile hotspot. Please note that you will need two mobile devices for this setup (one will serve as a router and the other to be used to set up your Nest Hub Max). Please make sure to remove your Nest Hub Max from the home structure first before resetting it. Follow the steps below to know-how:

  1. Save any important footage from your device's video history.
  2. Remove your Nest Hub Max from the Google Home app.
  3. On the back of Nest Hub Max, press and hold both volume buttons together for about 10 seconds. Your Nest Hub Max will let you know that it's resetting.

Keep us posted.

Cheers,

Muddi
