Is Google double-speaking when it mentions that Matter devices can operate without an Internet connection? While that may be true for the Matter devices themselves, my experience has been that the Nest displays/hubs that control the Matter devices WON’T work without an Internet connection, thus making the claim an exaggeration. I’m disappointed by this discovery. There have been occasions when our Internet service was interrupted and I had to manually disconnect power to smartlights to turn them off.
