Google nest thermostat

My Google thermostat Gen4 isn’t allowing to receive emails or push notifications about hvac system issues or early warnings and Google support call was no help. The app is up to date and I’ve restarted my phone and reinstalled the Google home app. Such TRASH

Thank you for posting in the community. I’m sorry to hear that your Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) isn't sending push notifications or emails regarding HVAC alerts and early warnings. I understand how frustrating it is when notifications do not work as expected, especially after you've already contacted Google support and attempted to troubleshoot. I appreciate that you have already tried restarting your phone and reinstalling the Google Home app. I'm happy to assist.

To gather the necessary information, please answer the following questions:

  • Could you please provide the Case ID from your previous interaction with support?
  • Do you have any other device logged into the same account? If so, can you confirm if you receive push notifications or emails there?
  • Can you confirm you are logged into the app using the exact email address linked to your Nest account?
  • Are you the "Home Owner" in the Google Home or Nest app, or are you a "Member" with shared access?
  • Have you verified that "Do Not Disturb" or "Focus Mode" is turned off in your phone's system settings?
