Group Smart Bulbs/lights in google home app

I have two beside lamps. Each lamp requires two bulbs. I’d like to group two of the bulbs into a single device so I only have to say the light name to turn off. Additionally don’t want 4 individual bulbs to appear in the room in the app as it’s becomes very cluttered.

I had previously used a smart outlet to control the lights but I want the ability to change the light color and adjust dimming which is not possible with the outlets hence the bulbs.

Can you really not group the bulbs together into a single device? I’ve read of solutions like “turn on bulb 1” and “turn on bulb 2” Etc. This is a ridiculous solution.

Alexa and Apple Home both have this. Does google home really not? This is like the most common of use cases that i can think would occur in a home.
