How do you enable/disable camera events in the script editor?

I would like to enable (people) events on my outdoor camera only at night, to save the battery. However, I can't find a command in the script editor docs for enabling/disabling camera events. Is this possible?

You should be be able to use a time.schedule as your starter or condition to control access time. 
Will try it when I get home.
