Customers have been reporting the "-83902" error in this forum for a VERY long time. (I get 103 results if I search this forum for "83902".) I don't know why Google Nest hasn't added a Help topic to resolve whatever causes this, or changed the cryptic error message.

What's "FDR" in your third bullet from the end?

Hello @MplsCustomer,

I appreciate you asking this question and for your post. To answer it, the FDR stands for factory data reset.

Warm regards,

Jeremy.
