Mini speakers won’t set up

I have two mini speakers that won’t set up. I go thru all the steps and at the last step when it asks you to test voice assistant. It says “assistant isn’t setup download google home and set up device. I’ve reset both speakers. And reinstalled google app. Left speakers unplugged for 20mins  and still the same prob. Fails when testing google assist step.

Give these steps a try:

1. Restart your phone and make sure Location Services is turned on.
2. Go to your phone's settings then under the Wi-Fi list, look for the Nest Mini name and connect to it.
3. Once you're connected, open the Google Home app and set up the device again.
