My Gree AC's won't connect to my Google home app

Hello I've been trying for some time to connect my GREE devices to my Google Home app. The app works fine and I have almost 30 device is connected to it however, it will not connect to GREE every time I begin the process I get the following message "authorized region does not match". I already checked that I am connected to the North America, and I make sure the GREE app knows I am using the English language, but it is not connecting. I have tried all the other different options in GoogleHome. I travel quite frequently and this is the main reason I purchased these units because I was told there was not a problem please help.

It's frustrating when your GREE devices and Google Home aren't connecting, especially since travel compatibility was a key factor in your purchase. The "authorized region does not match" message can be tricky to deal with, but let's explore some solutions:

1. Double-check Region Settings:

  • Google Home: Ensure your Google Home device is set to the same region as your GREE app. Check within the Google Home app settings, usually under "Home" or "Device settings."
  • GREE App: Verify your GREE app region is set to North America. Look for settings options within the app, possibly under "Account" or "Profile."

2. Account Discrepancies:

  • Try different GREE accounts: If you have used multiple GREE accounts across locations, try connecting with each one to see if any are associated with your desired region.
  • Delete and re-add GREE account: Within the Google Home app, remove the GREE integration completely. Then, try adding it again, ensuring you're logged into the correct GREE account with the matching region.

3. App Updates and Connectivity:

  • Update both apps: Make sure you're using the latest versions of both Google Home and GREE apps. Outdated versions can sometimes cause compatibility issues.
  • Internet connectivity: Verify both Google Home and your phone have a stable internet connection. Try switching Wi-Fi networks or using mobile data to see if it makes a difference.

4. Advanced Troubleshooting:

  • Factory reset GREE devices: As a last resort, consider resetting your GREE devices to factory settings. This can occasionally resolve connectivity issues, but remember it will erase all your configurations. Refer to your GREE device manuals for specific reset instructions.
  • Contact GREE and Google Support: If none of the above solutions work, reach out to both GREE and Google support for further assistance. They might have deeper insights into the "authorized region" error and specific troubleshooting steps for your case.

Additional Tips:

  • When contacting support, provide as much detail as possible, including your Google Home model, GREE device models, error messages, and any troubleshooting steps you've already tried.
