Nest Doorbell Video Archive

Do you know if a subscription is needed to access video of past events? I thought a certain length of time was included for free?

If not, do you know if you sign up for Aware today, would video from last night be searchable/viewable? It must be saved someplace right?

For the new Google Nest cameras and doorbells released starting in 2021, you get free event video history for detected events in the most recent 3 hours.  (I think it's saved on the camera itself, but am not sure.)  Otherwise, you need a Nest Aware or Nest Aware Plus subscription, which save your history on Google Nest's servers. If you enroll in Nest Aware, your history starts getting saved from the time when you enroll; it would NOT be retroactive to last night because Google Nest cannot save your video history without your permission.
