Nest Protect wired showed as power out after new protect was installed

I installed 4 nest protects in my house and they worked well. So I bought 2 more and replaced the last two smoke detectors with nest protect.  After I finished the installation, 2 out of the existing 4 protects showed as "Power Out".  I tried to reset them, reconnect the power cord, but nothing worked.  Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

The "Power Out" message on your Nest Protects could indicate a few potential issues:

Incorrect Wiring: Double-check the wiring of the new Nest Protects to ensure they're connected correctly to your existing wiring. A loose connection or improper wiring can cause power issues.
Power Supply Problems: If your home's electrical system is experiencing fluctuations or outages, it could be affecting the Nest Protects. Try checking other devices in your home to see if they're also experiencing power issues.
Nest Protect Malfunction: In rare cases, a Nest Protect itself may be faulty. If you've ruled out the other possibilities, you might need to replace the malfunctioning device.
Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

Inspect Wiring: Carefully examine the wiring for the two Nest Protects that are showing "Power Out." Ensure that the connections are secure and that the wires are properly inserted into the terminals.
Check Power Supply: Test other devices in your home to see if they're receiving power. If other devices are working fine, the problem is likely with the Nest Protects.
Reset Nest Protects: Try resetting the Nest Protects that are showing "Power Out." Follow the instructions in the user manual to reset the devices.
Replace Battery: If the Nest Protect is battery-powered, ensure that the battery is fully charged or replaced with a new one.
Contact Nest Support: If you've tried all of these steps and the issue persists, contact Nest support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting tips or arrange for a replacement device.
By following these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the cause of the "Power Out" message on your Nest Protects.

Thank you very much for your help!  These two were working perfectly fine before I installed the two new ones.  I will try the steps you suggested and see if I can resolve the problem.
