Hi, I’ve recently had some trouble with my nest outdoor camera recording events. I have four cameras on the entryway to my home. My driveway camera, front woods, and side camera captures just fine but not my front door. I pulled into my driveway and two random guys were on my porch. Luckily I carry so I wasn’t concerned for my safety but had it been one of my kids they would have been terrified and me pissed! These guys were just casually sitting in my rocking chairs with their suitcase and backpacks. I was driving so I wasn’t looking at my phone’s notifications, but when I went back and looked at footage, my driveway cam caught them coming up to my porch and our whole interaction. They got there at 8:17 and I arrived at 8:32 my front door camera captured absolutely nothing which is mortifying. So for 15 minutes they were just on my porch doing who knows what and I have no way of knowing. I have 22 cameras inside/outside of my home and they all have been set to high because that is supposed to be the most sensitive wake up setting but this camera seems to only work when you’re 2-3 feet away from it. Mind you it worked just fine until the last few months I started noticing it wasn’t capturing anyone coming or going.
Anyone have any ideas that could remedy this situation? Thanks!
