How do I connect my google speaker to my ipad. I no longer have home internet.

• What type of speaker are you using?
• Is the speaker already set up on your Google account?
• Are you encountering any error messages when attempting a Bluetooth connection?

Please note:  Connecting a speaker via Bluetooth requires it to be set up on your account first. This allows you to access necessary options within the app. Additionally, using the speaker's full functionality necessitates an internet connection.

If your speaker is already set up you can follow the next information: Play music on Bluetooth speakers or headphones, Play media on your Google Nest speaker or display using Bluetooth

It’s the google nest audio smart speaker. I have the home app on my ipad the speaker is listed as offline. I’ve tried several times to set up following the steps it says it keeps trying to connect to the internet. I don’t have home wifi. The speaker responds to audio test sound but doesn’t show up on my bluetooth search list. Any ides?

Based on your description, it sounds like your speaker might be offline because you mentioned not having a home network.  If that's the case, here are a few steps to help:

• Remove the device from the app: This will remove the speaker from your account and allow you to set it up again later.
• Perform a factory reset: This will erase all settings and prepare the speaker for a fresh setup.

Important Note: Setting up a speaker requires a home network connection. Without a network, you won't be able to complete the setup process.

 It's a great point. Our Google Nest Audio speakers are designed to work best with a Wi-Fi connection. Since features like music streaming and voice commands rely on internet access, a Wi-Fi network is essential for the full experience.

I want a simple bluetooth connection no need for wifi. Bewildering why direct bluetooth connection isn’t available on such an expensive google device.
