Disappointing that Google did chose to inform so late that Nest protect is discontinued, there is no available replacement in the UK and all the stock of Nest Protect I see is gone now. Unscrupulous sellers on EBay and similar are asking up to £700 per unit. First Alert SC5 is not available in the UK so as all my 6 units expire in 2 months so I will now be looking for non-Google options and switch away to a separate non Nest system.
