Package Delivered Automation - Nest Wired Outdoor Cam v2 - Google Home Premium

I just added a Nest Wired Outdoor Cam v2 to my setup and have Google Home Premium enabled.  I want to create an automation that sends a broadcast message when a package is seen on the new camera. 

I have an existing script that does this with my Nest Doorbell, but the new camera doesn't support the event type:

starters:
- type: device.event.PackageDelivered # A delivered package has been detected by the camera.

Gemini is interpreting the video and determining that a package has been seen.  I can see the description in the event history.  However, I can't seem to do anything with that information.  

Is there another way to take the Gemini event information and use it as a starter in an automation script to send a broadcast message when a package is seen?  Or perhaps there's some other way to accomplish this type of notification?

If you have already joined the Public Preview, you should have access to the scripted automations. The script editor allows you to program advanced Household Routines with extra starters, conditions, actions, and complex logic.

The issue is that the camera doesn't support the PackageDelivered event in the script editor.
