I recently upgraded from a Google Chromecast device to the newer Google TV Streamer and noticed a key feature that my previous Chromecast device supported is no longer available.
With my Chromecast, I could use automations in Google Home that triggered based on the playback state—specifically when content played, paused, or stopped. This allowed me to integrate smart home actions, like adjusting lights, with playback. Unfortunately, on my new Google TV Streamer, the automation triggers seem limited to device power states (only turning on and off).
Could you clarify if there’s a way to enable playback-based triggers on the Google TV Streamer similar to the old Chromecast? If this feature is currently unavailable, are there any plans to add this back in a future update?

Hey! I am on the latest iOS with the iPhone 16 Pro. My Google Home setup is entirely on that system, on the same WiFi.
to be clear, the feature that I want works on the old Google chrome cast, but do not work on the new Google streamer.
