Smart home devices not responding through Google Home

My smart home devices (lights and plugs) have stopped responding through the Google Home app. They worked fine before, but now they show as “offline.” I’ve restarted my router and re-linked the devices, but nothing changes. Can someone help me fix this issue and get my smart devices working again?

By "re-linked" do you mean Reconnected the Manufacturer's app to the Google Home app?

That's the first thing I do.

Then I would turn devices off for 10 seconds one by one.

Hi Husnain

This happens normally when device power is off .

Please check power of the device .

Second

Check and make sure your WiFi password remain same as when you configure your device first otherwise need to add these all devices after reset devices as per third party instructions and add these devices to smart home then add this to Google Home .

I hope this will help you

Hi Husnainacca,

Thanks for reaching out here in the community! I understand that your lights and plugs are currently appearing offline and unresponsive in the Google Home app, even though they were working fine before. I appreciate that you've already tried some troubleshooting steps to solve this issue. I'm happy to help you with this!

To continue investigating this situation, I'd like to ask for the following information:

  • When did you first notice the devices went offline?
  • Did you recently change your Wi-Fi password, router settings, or install a new network device?
  • What is the make and model of the lights and plugs that are offline?
  • Are you using a partner app that is linked to the Google Home app? If so, what is the manufacturer's app?
  • Are the smart devices connecting to a 2.4 GHz or a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network?

I appreciate your input, @SmartHomeH-TAGS and @Shabirnasir.

I look forward to your response.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
