Temperature unit not displayed on Nest Hub 2 for Matter temperature sensor

I’ve added a Matter temperature sensor device to my setup.
I’m using a Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen) as the border router.

The temperature value from my device is displayed correctly on the Nest Hub’s LCM screen, but the unit (°C / °F) is missing.
My device supports switching between Celsius and Fahrenheit, but the Nest Hub only shows the numeric value without any unit indicator.

This can be confusing for users since they can’t tell which temperature scale is currently used.

Is there any way to make the Nest Hub display the temperature unit, or is this currently a limitation ?

Hi @Emma-1003,

Thanks for contacting the Google Nest Community. I understand you're trying to change the temperature unit between Celsius and Fahrenheit on your Nest Hub. I also see that the device is only showing a numeric value without the C or F indicator. I'm glad to help you.

To troubleshoot the issue further, please try the following steps in order:

  • Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same WiFi network or linked to the same account as your speaker.
  • Open the Google Home app.
  • Tap your account.
  • Verify that the Google Account shown is the one linked to your speaker or display.
  • Tap Settings and then Google Assistant.
  • Tap Manage all Assistant settings.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page, and then tap the Weather icon.
  • Choose your preferred weather unit.

Feel free to keep posting if you have more questions.

Regards,

Gabriela
