Hi I wanted to change my subscription to the lower amount one.  Everytime I try to do it I keep getting the same Error that says something went wrong. There is no Phone number that I can call to speak to a live person and the one you do one line keeps giving me the link to the part where I keep getting this message.

Anyone know How I can get this fixed, Been trying for over a week.

Thanks

Hey @whatamess, that sounds super frustrating — I’ve had a similar issue before when trying to downgrade a subscription. Sometimes it's due to a temporary billing glitch or an outdated payment method stored in your account. A few things you could try:

  • Log in using an incognito/private browser window.

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies.

  • If you're using a mobile device, try switching to desktop mode or use the desktop site on a PC.

  • Double-check that your payment info is still valid — even expired cards can trigger weird errors.

Also, if it’s related to a Google Play or App Store subscription, sometimes you have to manage it through their systems rather than directly through the app/site itself.

I ran into something similar while testing apps and tools — especially modded or experimental versions. Speaking of which, I was exploring different builds to compare features, and even there, subscription-type bugs pop up now and then. Just saying in case you're experimenting with tools outside the official ones.

Hope it gets resolved for you soon — stuff like this should definitely be easier to fix!

Hey @whatamess, ugh yeah, that sounds super annoying. I ran into something similar a while back when I was trying to switch from a family plan to an individual YouTube Music subscription — kept getting the same “Something went wrong” error.

A few things that helped me:

  • Try using a different browser (or incognito mode) and make sure you're logged into the correct account.

  • If you're trying from mobile, switching to desktop can sometimes bypass that error.

  • Also, double-check if there’s any pending payment issue — even a small billing glitch can mess up the whole process.

  • Lastly, if it's through the Google Play Store or Apple Store, try managing the subscription directly from there instead of through the app or site.

I remember I actually looked into alternative versions when I was stuck with the error too — just to keep using music offline while I sorted things out. Not a forever fix, but it helped temporarily.

Hope you get it sorted soon — you’re definitely not alone with that error.

Hi whatamess,

Thanks for reaching out to the community! I understand you want to downgrade your subscription to the lower plan, but every time you try to do it, you always get the same "something went wrong" error message. I know how difficult it is when you don't have any option to downgrade your subscription. I'll be glad to help! To gather some more details, I'd like to ask the following questions:

  • Which specific subscription are you trying to downgrade?
  • Where did you purchase your subscription?
  • Are you logged in to the right account?

Please keep me posted. I look forward to your response.

Best regards,
Juan
