Two different shopping lists

Mbonamassa3

On my Google Assistant, my wife and I have two separate grocery lists depending on who talks to the assistant. I set the assistant up first and then she set her account up after (I wasn’t there when she set it up). When I talk, the assistant is male and when she talks, the assistant is female. I have tried searching the web for an answer but can’t figure out how to merge our lists. I’ve added her to all my lists but I want everything we had via voice to go to the same lists, not each other’s separate lists. Thanks in advance.

Hey Mbonamassa3,

Thanks for posting.

You can add people to help manage your shopping list. When you add a collaborator, anyone with access to the list can add, remove, purchase items, or leave the list.

To add collaborators, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. At the top-right, tap the account icon. Verify that the Google Account on screen is the one linked to the speaker or display. To switch accounts, tap the dropdown arrow > choose another account or Add another account.
  3. Go back to the home screen, then tap Settings.
  4.  Scroll down to Services, then tap Notes and lists > Shopping lists. Note: If asked, have the customer choose an app to open their lists.
  5. To view your lists, at the top left, tap Menu .
  6. Tap the list you want to share > Share .
  7. Enter a name or email, or scroll through the contact lists. The person being added appears under Shared with.
  8. Tap Save.

The person should receive an email where they can agree to be part of the shared list.

Hope this helps!

Best,

Alex
