Voice control blocked by profile screen

I have netflix, hulu, disney and others accounts lined to my chromecast. When using my google devices to send a voice comand like "play mickey mouse clubhouse on disney plus on livingroom tv" the controler swtiches to the app but is blocked by the "select your profile screen".

Is there a way to set a default profile or voice control the profile selection?

Hi Nkperetti,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.

Sorry to hear about the trouble. I wanted to follow up and see if I could be of any help. Try to unlink and relink the video service and during the relink process it will ask which profile would you like to use. If you have other home members that wish to use their profile too you can do the same thing on their Google Home app from their phones.

Check these steps:

Unlink streaming apps

  1. Make sure your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as the speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app.
  3. Tap the plus icon  and then Videos.
  4. Select a streaming service, then tap Unlink and then Unlink account to confirm the customer wants to unlink the video app account from their Google Account.
Note: The customer loses the ability to use voice commands to cast the streaming service on a supported display.

Link streaming apps

  1. Make sure your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as the speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app.
  3. Tap account (your initial or your profile picture).
  4. Verify the Google Account on screen is the one linked to the speaker or display. To switch accounts, tap the down arrow icon and thenchoose another account or Add another account .
  5. Go back to the home screen.
  6. Tap the plus icon  and then Video.
  7. Choose a video streaming service, then tap Link and then Link Account.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

Juni
