Why do some automations not start in google home

I have an automation that should starts my thermostats (tado thermostat) it should start in a given period and when someone arrives home. I see in the history that it detected the phone coming home but It did not start the automation? 

no idea why.

Not sure if I’m technical enough for the script editor. For the moment I’m mostly using the simple automations like when I leave home put off all devices. In this case for example I have a Tado thermostat that doesn’t seem to go off when leaving I also don’t see the automation starting in the history
