Nest app not working

We have two nest protect smoke alarms and for the last few months we have been unable to log into the nest account, we just go round in circles. Even tried logging in on our lao tops and nothing. I know the smoke alarms are still working, but we have no way of monitoring or checking the settings, not impressed, as were thinking of getting another one, but now not so sure!

What happens when you try to log into the Google Nest app from your phones? What happens when you try to log into the home.nest.com website from your laptops?  Are you using a Google Account to log in, or do you still have an old, unmigrated Nest Account?  (Google Nest started trying to get people to migrate to a Google Account over 3 years ago.)
