Hi,
I have two Nest Protect alarms to install and the setup fails with error P030 when it tries to "collaborate" with my Nest Thermostat. I've seen workarounds where you either have to REMOVE the existing device (i.e. the Nest Thermostat) or create a whole new location/home. I find both of those so called solutions completely unacceptable. For one, I do not want to lose my thermostat settings and history, nor do I want to have to manage two different homes.
Very, very, VERY frustrated by these products!
Regards,
Ed

Hey erussell3rd,
I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. No worries, we'll check this out. What type of Nest Protect do you have (1st Gen, 2nd Gen)? Could you try setting up your Nest Protect near your thermostat? If that doesn't work, try resetting your Nest Protect to its default settings to see if that helps.
Looking forward to your response.
Thanks,
Archie
