Wifi nest Protect issues

NestNerd
Community Member

New 5G Verizon router needs plug and play turned on for multiple smoke detectors to communicate with each other.

This is the new 5g Verizon cube. Setting are only accessed with in the Verizon app under home.

Plug and play opens up multiple protect devices to communicate with each other.

If you have lost power or unplugged the router, check this setting.

Hello NestNerd,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. We appreciate you sharing this information with us. However, Nest Protect can only be connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and can only be controlled with the Nest app. Let us know if you have more questions in mind.

Regards,

Emerson
