Almost a Year On – Nest Learning Thermostat 4 UK Release?

I am interested to know if there’s any update on whether the new Nest Learning Thermostat, which was released last August, will be made available in the UK. It's been nearly a year since its launch, and there’s still no official information about a UK release. Has anyone heard anything or have any insights?
