Anyone from Nest team listening?

Hello Nest Thermostat team,

Is anyone paying attention to this community? There are dozens of requests asking for the ability to disable Pre-Heating. I understand it’s a “learning” thermostat, but it should also learn what its users actually want.

Please give us the option to turn off Pre-Heat. It’s long overdue.

Thank you very much for reaching out to the community! I understand the point you are raising regarding customers requesting the ability to disable pre-heating on Nest Thermostats. Even though these thermostats have the capacity to learn, it is indeed necessary to be able to turn off some features manually. I know this can be frustrating. However, to ensure these requests are properly reviewed, please share your feedback in this form so the appropriate team can investigate.
