Can't attach thermostat to app

I have a new iPhone (13 pro) and ever since have not been able to manage my 3rd generation learning thermostat through my phone.

My app says +add product.  When i go to do this and after i have scanned the QR code, it asked me to enter a key.  However, when i follow the instructions to find the key on the actual thermostat it says connected!

Please help!  So frustrating.

Quick question — is this the first time you're setting this up or was it working before on another network or phone? Also, what is the exact message that you're getting?
