My wife has set up Google Nest Learning Thermostat on her Google Home App. She sent me the invite to my google account. When I try accepting the invite I receive this error. "Can't accept invite right now." It asks to "Try Again" but still nothing happens.

Not yet, I'm waiting for someone from Google Nest support to respond to this post. Unfortunately there isn't any number I can call.

So i went into the Help section of the app, and filled out a form and someone from Google instantly called to help me. So basically, the Home app can only have 5 devices on there, i had 5 and wanted to add a 6th one that's why i kept gettimg the error when i tried accepting the invite. I deleted one device that i no longer use, and tried accepting the invite, and boom, done.
But i was told, if you do have more than 5 devices on the Home app, you would need to create another account with google home to add that 6th device, and 7th, and 8th, etc...
Hope that helps you

That worked. I had 5 devices (locations) and it wasn't accepting because this new home was going to be the 6th so I deleted an old one and then it worked! I was able to accept the invite. Thank you very much!

Make sure you are accepting the invite via the email. That fixed the issue for me.

Don't know why this worked but it did the trick for me! Thanks.

I got this error message because my husband had too many other homes created (that were totally inactive.) I think he had 5 or 6 so I had to help him delete them. Go into the settings for a home and delete it all the way at the bottom. That fixed my issue!
