I am trying to upgrade from the 2nd gen to 4th gen.
Once I replaced the physical thermostat, I have to do the setup from the Google Home App.
The Google Home App keeps crashing after searching for a "New Device". Without fail, every single time. I am stuck.
I have restarted thermostat, phone, wifi... No luck. I even uninstalled the Google Home app from my iPhone 15 and that didn't help.
I suspect something is happening when it acknoledeges/connects to the thermostat as if I unplug the 4th gen and it goes idle, if I run the "Add Device" in the Google Home app it does not crash.
Help, I am literally stuck, and have the old thermostat dangling from my wall to keep my HVAC running...
iPhone 15
iOS 18.5
Google Home App 3.33.273
