I installed the nest thermostat many months ago and the Air conditioning function is working fine. However I tried to turn on our heater this morning and it turning on the air conditioner unit and blowing out cold air. I went through the menu options on the thermostat and it is reporting a N261 error and is also reporting that there are undetected wires. I am not sure if I need a different thermostat since the heater is a propane furnace and the air conditioning unit is separate. I do have pictures but it is not allowing me to upload them.
