Google Nest Thermostat freezing coil.

I installed the thermostat in March and it has worked great until this past week. The thermostat is keeping the compressor running after the temperature set point is reached. The fan turns off but compressor continues to run freezing up my coil. If remove the thermostat from the wall the compressor stops. Reinstalling the thermostat will work for a day or so then freeze the coil up again.

Hey JFutral01,

I am sorry to hear you are still running into the issue. I would be happy to take a closer look and ensure your system is working properly. Do you mind me asking if you can send a picture of your current wire set up for me to review? Are you seeing any error codes on the device or the app? I did find a helpful article that does provide more details on strange cooling behavior. Please let me know if that helps, and once the picture has been sent, so I can review.

Best regards,

Jake
