Google Nest thermostat- voltage limits 48?

Is a 48 volt thermostat system a no go for the google nest thermostat? I checked the voltage at the transformer. My nest thermostat shows a “something went wrong try later” message at the last step of installing and the touch ring does not respond to touch or tap.

Nest thermostats are designed to work only with 24Vac systems
