• Have there been any recent changes to your HVAC system?
• Have there been any recent power outages or power issues?

I have a similar issue. I have 2 nest 3d generation thermostats with updated software:

both of them show humidity about 10% above the actual humidity in the apartment. 
I just installed those used thermostats and performed factory reset to both of them. 

humidity measurement was the main reason for me to install Nest in my vacation home. 
please advise
