Installed a nest E on my oil boiler and solenoid won’t stay opened.

Nest is wired with R/W/C and hooked up to my oil boiler. When it calls for heat, i can hear it opening up the solenoid to allow the hot water to flow but roughly 20 seconds later it closes. App still reflects its heating.

Any idea on what’s going on? Thanks

It sounds like the Nest doesn't have enough power to keep the solenoid energized.

Installing a relay can help solve this type of issue.

You might need something like this.

@Hosic, I hope you've got the answer you're looking for. Please let us know how it goes if you have a chance to install a relay between your Nest Thermostat and your system controller.
