I cannot believe this! All of a sudden, I am logged out of my nest account and my google home no longer shows my Nest thermostat in the list. In searching for a solution, I find out that 2nd gen thermostats will no longer have app support starting October 2025. TODAY IS AUGUST 28, 2025!!! GOOGLE, did you forget to wait until the official date? Didn't receive any app notification, nor an email, nor any type of notice for this change, nor the so-called offer to purchase a new-gen device. I have also been logged out of my nest account and trying to sign in with Google is just out of the question. The login page won't click to log in through Google. I am forced to make a decision of whether I stay with an obsolete brick for which I have to physically change the temperature (and lost all app controls) or contract a technician to change it for a new device. I am glad I don't buy Google based products!!! AND I WILL NOT BE REPLACING IT WITH ANOTHER ONE EITHER!
