Nest AC system not working

Rylansd

I installed a 3rd gen Nest thermostat a few weeks ago downstairs and a nest thermostat upstairs. Each thermostat has a separate AC unit, but common blower.

Everything worked fine originally, but two days ago the downstairs system stopped functioning properly. The AC unit comes on, but not as frequently as it should (it’s summer), and even when the AC does come on the blower does not blow.

Meanwhile the upstairs system works fine. AC unit works, blower blows. All good up there.

I’ve checked the wiring on the downstairs thermostat and all seems fine. Anyone have any thoughts?

Hi @Rylansd,

Thanks for posting here in the community!

I'm sorry to hear that the blower is not activating when you turn on the AC. I'd be happy to help!

To better assist you, please let me know how many wires you have in each thermostat (upstairs and downstairs) and the terminals. Also check the battery level on your thermostat.

Here's how to check the battery level on your thermostat:

  • Settings > Technical info > Power > Battery

Please keep me posted once you have the information. I'd be happy to provide further assistance then.

Best regards,

Ana.
