Nest Factory Reset - Now won't connect to Google Home

Hello,

I moved into a new condo with a Nest. It worked as an analog thermostat just fine.

 

I wanted to connect to my phone, so I tried connecting. It wouldn't work, so it suggested a factory reset. I did that.

Now the Nest says "Continue setup in the Google Home app." I did that. Used the bar code and everything. But the Nest still won't connect. And now I don't have a thermostat at all.

Any suggestions?

I'd be happy even just to have my analog thermostat back.

Hey Huskychemist,

 

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that. What's the exact message are you getting? What phone are you using (Android, iOS)? How far is your thermostat from your Wi-Fi router? Are you using a dual-band router (2.4GHz and 5GHz)? If so, which band are you trying to connect your phone and thermostat to?
