Hello, I have purchased a new cell phone and need help setting the thermostat up to the app. The app asks me to enter the "Key" and the instructions the app gives me to find the key does not display the key. It says to go to the nest app screen on the thermostat and follow the steps to locate the entry key. The only option on that screen says the app is connected to an account. Anybody out there able to help me? Thanks in advance

I am having same issue after the migration to Google home. I can see it on the Home app but not on NEST app. Maybe we don't need the NEST appcanymore?

Hello, I find the nest app easier to use, but that's just my opinion. I was finally able to set it up. The account was on my husband's email address, so once we found the "key", we were able to connect his new phone to the app. Then in Settings, there is an option to add a family member. Through the Nest app he emailed a request to join to me. Once I accepted that, I was in. Hopefully this information is helpful. The google rep I spoke to last night did send a link for connecting that was helpful. If you still have trouble, let me know and I will forward that to you as well. Good luck!
