Nest Thermostat

Hello, I recently installed Nest Thermostat E. I have a set schedule to turn up in the morning and afternoon. After several hours rooms still do not heat up to the set temperature whereas my previous Honeywell thermostats achieved the temp quickly and maintained it. Any thoughts?  Quickly thinking I made a bad purchase. Thanks

The thermostat is basically an on/off switch. If some rooms are cold it is unlikely to be the thermostats fault - unless it is in a room that heats up much quicker than others.

Hello folks,

I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Thanks for the input, @Hercule.

@Bernelog63, I'm sorry for the trouble this may have caused you. It's most likely a power-related issue, as your thermostat is able to send signals to your system, but your system isn't sufficient enough to meet the needs. I'd love to know more about this.

To isolate:

  • When did you install it?
  • Could you tell us what the current temperature is and your target temperature?
  • Does it show how long it would take before it reaches the temperature?
  • Do you have a C-wire connected to your thermostat's base?
  • Please gather the power readouts on your actual thermostat's Technical Info settings.

I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,

Mark
