Nest generation four not turning on AC

I just set up my nest with my home wiring, which has a white blue green and red wires. I set it up with this configuration and all seems fine, but the AC will not turn on when it’s trying to cool. I’ve also tried to initiate the fan but that also does not turn on. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  1. Green wire (G): Connect the green wire from your HVAC system to the G terminal on the Nest Thermostat base.
  2. White wire (W): Connect the white wire from your HVAC system to the W1 terminal on the Nest Thermostat base.
  3. Red wire (R): Connect the red wire from your HVAC system to the RH terminal on the Nest Thermostat base.
  4. Blue wire (B): Move the blue wire from the C terminal to the Y1 terminal on the Nest Thermostat base.

Hi Ktggks,

Thanks for posting in the community! I understand that you've properly set up your Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) using your home's wiring (white, blue, green, and red wires), but the AC and the fan are not working. I appreciate you sharing some wiring details. I'm here to help!

To get a better look at your system, please provide photos of your HVAC control board and the previous wiring.

Also, I'd like to know the following:

  • Did you see any error messages in the Google Home app or on your Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) when you tried to turn on the AC and fan?

I look forward to your response.

Regards,
Juan
