Nest indoor temperature keeps rising

AA9371

Hello. I have the best 4th generation. I have the thermostat and a sensor in the basement. The temperature in my house keeps rising even though the temperature is set low. The temperature was set as low as 65 but the indoor temperature rose to 90.

I recently set a schedule for the house and use the auto sensing. Those were the only changes I made today when this issue started.
any help to keep the indoor temperature at or near the set temperature would be appreciated. Thanks

You have the thermostat and sensor both installed in the basement and the rest of your house keeps heating up?

No, the thermostat is on the main. There is an additional sensor in the basement.

Hi @AA9371

Thanks for reaching out to the Community! I understand that you were having some inconveniences with the temperature on your Thermostat 4th gen. I know it can be frustrating, but don't worry! Let me assist you with that!

Before we continue with the steps, I need to know more information about the issue to provide you with more accurate troubleshooting steps:

  • What troubleshooting has been done?
  • What temperature does it detect inside your home?
  • Have you used a thermometer to confirm the temperature?
  • Is the thermostat near a heat source?
  • When was the thermostat installed?
  • When did the problem start?

Once you have this information, please let me know, and I would be more than ready to assist you!

Best Regards,

Debora
