Nest learning thermostat won't stay on for setup

Hello,I got my thermostat installed by a plumber yesterday and when trying to setup it kept powering off, red flashing light.. I googled it as the instructions pages are awful and said needs charged via a cable... So I charged it for hours. Back to trying to set it up today and same problem.. won't stay on, powering off to 'recharge' with red flashing lights!

What is going wrong ? I can't even set the thing up!
