Nest schedule and boost not working - heatlink manual works fine though!?

Woke to no heating or hot water the other day. Boiler is fine (all boiler diags show no issues).

  • The heatlink button for manual operation works, heating and water come online and my app shows them in orange and manual. I am able to turn manual off at the app or heating button. We have been using this as a temporary method to heat the water.
  • The schedule set on the app doesn't kick in.
  • Boost function doesn't function the screen stays grey on the app but says on. The relay clicks on and off as expected.

Thank you for posting in the community. I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Nest Thermostat because the schedule and boost functions aren't triggering your heating. I understand how difficult it is to wake up to no heating or hot water, especially when you expect your home to be warm. I appreciate you clarifying that the boiler is fine, the relay clicks as expected, and that manual mode on the Heat Link still works. I'm happy to assist.

To gather the necessary information, please answer the following questions:

  • What model of Nest Thermostat do you have? This article might be helpful: How to tell which Nest thermostat you have.
  • What is the current status and color of the LED light on your Heat Link?
  • Does the thermostat display show a water droplet inside of a circle?
  • Do you have a system boiler with a separate hot water tank or a combi boiler?
